Abstract: After Otto Stern completed Stern-Gerlach experiment,he established a research center at the University of Hamburg for thoroughly studying the molecular beam method and carried out a plan called Untersuchung zur Molekularstrahlmethode ( UzM) to explore the frontiers in physics at that time using the molecular beam technique. In this paper,we have introduced the main idea of this scientific plan and its implementation process, and discussed the impacts of this plan on the development of the modern physics.
